650A-MPC Machine Process Control System (MPC)
The MPC demonstrates an automated material handling process which is
typically found in a manufacturing environment. The MPC teaches control of
valves, actuators, industrial sensors and conveyors. The process can be
controlled manually using push buttons and the internal power supply, or by
ladder logic programming using TII's PLC training systems.
The curriculum consists of 12 activities, six activities operating in
stand-alone mode and six activities operating with TII's PLC training
systems. Specific activities include part orientation/verification, part
dispensing, conveyor operation, part detection and action, quality approval
and labeling, part directing, PLC operation, and other application-oriented
activities.
Devices include: solenoids, part dispenser, pneumatic cylinders, limit
switch, photoelectric sensor, conveyor, switches, and lights.
