ANALOG PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
CM-184-APC Analog Control System
The APC demonstrates a closed loop process control system. Through an
assortment of temperature and pressure sensing components, trainees learn
how water is heated to a preset temperature. The temperature can be adjusted
and maintained manually or automatically using the universal controllers or
TII's PLC training systems. They also learn how flow rate affects
temperature, as liquid is routed manually or automatically through a
two-tank circulation and storage system.
The curriculum consists of trainer familiarization and initiation,
temperature control using the universal controller, and analog or digital
temperature control using TII's PLC training systems.
The APC, when connected to TII's SLC 500 PLC with a SLC 5/03 processor,
allows for continuous analog monitoring and control of the process.
