What Are TII's Products?
Why TII?
Our Philosophy
Our Specialized Industrial Programs
Ford Assembly Plant in Buffalo, New York:
TII designed and delivered PLC training systems according to
Ford training requirements. Curriculum topics included basic and
advanced programming techniques, and encompassed several industrial
models of PLCs.
A partnership with Mitsubishi:
In an ongoing program, TII designs and develops training units for the
latest PLC products from Mitsubishi Electric Sales America, Inc.
Dealers and customers of Mitsubishi use the units for training as well as
sales demonstrations. Mitsubishi also provides TII technical expertise
in developing additional curriculum topics in the programming and use of PLCs.
Other Examples of Industrial Installations:
Our Specialized Education Programs
In Oklahoma, TII's hydraulics, mechanisms,
pneumatics, and robotics trainers are part of almost
every junior high and high school program which has been upgraded from
industrial arts to industrial technology. Over 50 schools have been
upgraded by the state in the past four years.
Mississippi's "Diversified Technologies" program
has developed expensive technology education programs in 45 of the state's
high schools. Over the past three years the state has purchased and
installed complete Fundamentals of Technology systems and has recently
supplemented these basic systems by adding
Explorer Series products to all 45 schools.
TII recently helped California launch a program for disseminating
technology education information among the more than 1,000 high schools
in the southern half of the state. State officials invited 23 industrial
arts teachers to participate in a week-long seminar aimed at introducing
teachers to the methods of technology education.
In the Midwest, Pittsburg Middle School's "Explorations in
Technology" model program is viewed by many in technical education as
the future of industrial arts programs in America. Many of the schools
in Kansas (including Pittsburg Middle School), Missouri, Nebraska,
and Iowa have purchased TII's products to outfit their technology
laboratories.
Connecticut has appropriated funds for upgrading the programs
at eight large vocational schools. TII recently worked with the second
of the eight schools in developing a combination of Fundamentals of
Technology and Explorer Series product laboratories.
In Canada as well, the Catholic School system of Ontario has
recently upgraded many of its technology education facilities to include
Fundamentals of Technology and Explorer Series products. TII's products
meet or exceed all of Canada's import/safety criteria and complement the
country's well-established technology curriculum.
